Cooking Demo at our Community Open Day

It was a day of fun for all ages at the Community Open Day hosted by the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre last Friday, where we showcased their new kitchen facility by cooking some tasty bites to eat.

It was a free event organised by the Library for families to enjoy the entertainment whilst getting information about activities and checking out the community centre and library.

Chef Ben Munro put their new kitchen facility to good use with Demo One consisting ofPan roasted Dhufish with potato rösti and salad with lemon caper buerre blanc. followed by Demo Two being Pan roasted Duck breast with celeriac purée, poached sprouts and spiced cherry sauce.

We love to support our local community and cooking demonstrations are a great way to showcase a business and its facilities. Everybody loves food and its a creative form of entertainment where guests get to enjoy the end result.

The Mary Davies Library and Community Centre is a contemporary, cutting-edge library service and multi-purpose community centre named after Mary Davies (1926 –2014), a passionate and committed member of the Rockingham community. It has been a great addition to the area.

The facility is available for people to hire out for private or corporate functions in one of the Halls available. For more information on hiring the facilities at the Library and Community Centre contact 08 9591 0800.
